Ultima Underworld II sees the legendary Avatar return to Britannia, only to be confronted with his old enemy - the Guardian.
Excalibur Reviews give you all the facts about this pioneering 3D RPG.
My favorite of your reviews. Might be because I’m such a sucker for those old two and a half dimensional RPGs.
Great review. I followed your site from You Tube, well done, you make great reviews. I agree with your review of Ultima Underworld II. You failed to mention that there are some dreaded bugs that even with the fixes may still appear. Still, it is an improvement upon Ultima Underworld I, already one of the best games ever, although both are superb games. Many people don’t know that UU I already had a 3D engine before Wolfenstein 3D but is rarely credited for it. Still, the depth of these games … If only these guys made new games today with the graphics of Oblivion!
Very humorous and smart review! (As are all the others).
I have a weak spot for old games and, as you guys said in this review, it’s because they tend to use “human imagination” as their main resource.
“Ultima Underworld I & II” are my favourite games. The only game with a more advanced graphic engine that comes near to the same level is “Deus Ex” (2000).
Can I suggest “Dungeon Keeper II” for a future review?
